One of my (Andrea) new delights is gardening in Nicaragua. I have greatly missed having a veggie garden to eat fresh veggies out of, and having houseplants even. I decided at the wrong time to get started (middle of HEAVY rainy season) but I now have a small garden plot down at Orlando's farm. I started some seeds in old toilet paper rolls and once they were big enough I transplanted then to some pots that could still be taken inside out of the heavy rains... and I have finally put them in the ground! It has been fun to see Orlando get excited about it and have our little project together. So far we have only one cucumber plant and two pepper plants. I don't want to press my luck, but hope to be adding some tomatoes and carrots before I leave. I hope to get a good garden started that we can benefit from but more importantly share with the community.
