When we met up with Glenn and Lynne a few weeks ago to share our ministry goals we mentioned to them that we would like to be involved with the youth but as leaders and not as one of the youth. Since then our participation in the services has looked more like participating as one of the youth and not being given any sense of leadership or responsibilities. This past week we began to pray that if we were to continue having a part in the youth service, Fabricio, the youth pastor would approach us with a way in which we could assist. Not half an hour later Fabricio approached Kari, said he was not feeling well and asked if we would conduct the entire youth service that afternoon. We think God answered our prayers. That afternoon we shared a message from 1 Corinthians 12:4-31 about how we are all one body and each part plays an important role. We followed with discussions about each person´s talents and strengths and how they can be used for God´s kingdom. After the discussion we had a piece of paper with a name at the top for each person. We all went around and wrote affirmations about one another on each other´s paper. It was all anonymous and they were then able to take the papers with them to be encouraged about what others admire in them. It has been on our hearts for a while now to encourage them in what they do well and this provided an opportunity for that. It was also encouraging as Rachel came up to us and shared that she had felt this was something that also needed to be done and that God had been laying it on her heart for the past few days.

Hey guys, Jimmy here it sounds like you are doing a great job. Keep listening to the heart of God and He will do great things through you. I love the songs you have picked. God does love the people of Nicaragua and oh how I miss them so much.
